Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express is a Cash Back credit card from American Express, a GET.com advertiser. In my opinion, it is one of the best Cash Back cards to get in the US if you have excellent credit. Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express is a good choice of card for you if you like to get cash rebates and enjoy the benefits of an American Express card with no annual fee (See Rates & Fees). What I find very attractive about this card is its straightforward cash rewards program - there's no minimum spending required, no enrollment needed and there are no rotating categories (unlike many other Cash Back cards).
In this Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express review, I will tell you in-depth what Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express with no annual fee (See Rates & Fees) offers, and also tell you what you should watch out for. Note that this card is only for US residents with a good to excellent credit score.
Things We Like About Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express
No annual fee (See Rates & Fees). You can get many benefits without having to pay any annual fee for this card.
Earn $150 back in statement credit. After you use your new card to make $1,000 in purchases within the first three months you will earn this useful bonus of $150 back (in the form of a statement credit). This offer is only for new sign-ups!
0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months (See Rates & Fees). After the introductory period, there is a 14.49% - 25.49% variable APR (See Rates & Fees), depending on your creditworthiness and other factors, with flexibility to pay over time. If you pay off your balance in full each month, you won't have to worry about the APR.
Earn up to 3% Cash Back on purchases. You earn 3% Cash Back on purchases made at U.S. supermarkets (up to $6,000 per year in purchases, 1% Cash Back thereafter), 2% Cash Back at U.S. gas stations and at select U.S. department stores, and 1% Cash Back on other eligible purchases. There is no minimum spending required for these cash rebates, and you don't even need to enroll. Terms apply.
The U.S. department stores which are eligible for 2% Cash Back include Bealls, Belk, Bloomingdale's, Bon Ton Stores, Boscov's, Century 21 Department Stores, Dillard's, J.C. Penney, Kohl's, Lord & Taylor, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sears and Stein Mart, but partnerships are subject to change.
Redeem your Reward Dollars for statement credit. You can start redeeming when you have earned at least $25 Reward Dollars. I like that you can redeem your Cash Back anytime, whenever you accumulate $25 or more. It seems that you may redeem your Reward Dollars in the form of gift cards or merchandise. Here's the fine print: "We may at our option offer you other ways to redeem your reward dollars, such as for gift cards or merchandise." Note that Cash Back is only earned on eligible purchases.
Earn Cash Back faster by adding family or friends to your account. If you get a secondary card for your spouse or child on your account (which is at no extra charge), you'll earn even more Cash Back.
No limit on the cash rewards you can earn. No limit means that you get even more Cash Back when you spend on big-ticket items. Over the course of a year, all your everyday purchases add up and you can potentially get hundreds of dollars in Cash Back.
Purchase Protection Plan. This plan may protect you against any accidental damage or the theft of eligible purchases. American Express may refund, in the case of the store not doing so, up to $1,000 per occurrence, up to $50,000 per card account per policy year.
Flexibility to pay your balances over a period of time. Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express is a credit card, not a charge card, which means that you'll be able to pay your balances over a period of time although doing that would incur interest charges.
No overlimit fee (See Rates & Fees). American Express eliminated all overlimit fees effective October 1, 2009. This is especially useful for those of you who normally spend more than the limit the credit card has. As long as you pay your bills on time, there will be no other fee to accompany this overlimit spending.

Our Least Favorite Things About Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express
Penalty fees if you pay late. Who can really blame a lender for charging a fee if you don't pay up on time? If you pay your credit card bill late or if your payment is returned, you will have to pay a penalty fee of up to $39 (See Rates & Fees). Of course you should never pay late as it damages your credit score, but there are other cards that don't charge a penalty fee when you pay late.
Paying late also earns you a 29.99% variable penalty APR (See Rates & Fees). This is a very rewarding card with lots of benefits, but don't even dream about thinking of paying your credit card bill late. If you aren't the most responsible of people, or if you just don't have a great memory, this may not be the right card for you.
