Are you looking to get satellite TV service and some bonus American AAdvantage miles? From now through May 20, DIRECTV is giving 50,000 American AAdvantage miles to new customers or those who haven't had the service in the last two years. To qualify for the bonus miles, you must sign up for 24 months of service for SELECT package or above.
If you want to take advantage of this offer, you should be a member of the American Airlines AAdvantage frequent flyer program. If you aren't already a member, you can join for free online.
Once you are a member, you can call DIRECTV at 1-866-319-9868 and give them your AAdvantage membership number. After you keep your DIRECTV account in good standing for a minimum of 60 days, the miles will be automatically awarded to your account. But, don't plan on using your miles right away; as per the terms and conditions, you will have to wait six to eight weeks after the 60-day period for the miles to post to your AAdvantage account.

You should also keep in mind that not only do you have to sign a 24-month agreement, but, if you opt to cancel, DIRECTV will charge an early termination fee of $20 for each month remaining on the contract.
And to qualify, you must maintain a minimum base TV package, which costs $29.99 a month, not including taxes. Additionally, you cannot combine this offer with any other promotional offers on the same services.
It's rare to see a bonus that awards 50,000 miles since DIRECTV generally rolls out a 25,000 mile bonus. So, if you were already looking to get satellite TV service, you could consider this ongoing, considerably generous promotion. Though, it is a always wise idea to read the fine prints thoroughly before committing to it.
