JetBlue has a lot of airline partnerships, and most of them allow you to seamlessly buy tickets and connect with ease between two airlines. While JetBlue has a lot of partners, you can only earn JetBlue TrueBlue points on a small number of carriers. However, that list just got a little bigger, and flyers can now earn TrueBlue points when flying on Icelandair.

When earning points by traveling on Icelandair air, JetBlue TrueBlue members will earn the following:

  • Economy – 0.5 points per mile flown
  • Economy Comfort – 1 point per mile flown
  • Saga Class – 1.25 miles per mile flown

Icelandair may be bigger than you realize; it serves more than 45 destinations in 15 countries, with many destinations in Western Europe, including the United Kindgom. To ensure that you earn JetBlue TrueBlue points, make your booking on jetblue.com, and don't forget to give your TrueBlue number. If you prefer calling on the phone, you can call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583). When making the reservation over the phone, you can give your JetBlue TrueBlue number, or you can wait till you check in.

When buying your ticket through Icelandair, go to icelandair.com, and add your TrueBlue number when buying your ticket.

The partnership went live on May 4, and JetBlue is being generous. If you flew an Icelandair flight from April 3 on, you can get a retroactive credit by just asking. At this time, you can't redeem JetBlue TrueBlue points for flights with Icelandair, but that should change in the near future.
